Description
ANHALT – FRIEDRICH CROSS – 1914 – 1st CLASS
This is the 1914 Friedrich Cross 1st Class from Anhalt. It is a pin back award that was the equivalent to the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class.
As Anhalt was a very small duchy, these decorations were awarded in small numbers. It is very slightly vaulted and has a bronze appearance. The decoration’s top bears a crown. In the center is Herzog Friedrich of Anhalt’s royal cipher. Below that is “1914.” On the reverse we see a swollen, coke-bottle style pin.
The decoration is in excellent condition.
