Bavaria – Pickelhaube / Spiked Helmet – Officer – Infantry – Identified – With Transport Case

This is a pre war example of a pickelhaube for an infantry officer from the Kingdom of Bavaria. The leather body of this spike helmet is in exceptional condition. It is smooth and there are no issues whatever.

The furniture of the helmet is all brass to include chin scales, wappen, cruciform, officer stars, helmet trim, and the fluted spike. In speaking of the officer stars there is one missing, the one at the back of the helmet. The correct officer kokarden for state and reich are present.

Turning to the interior, we see a brown leather sweat band which shows some sign of wear and one small flap of leather which lifts up yet is intact. There is a finely conditioned cream colored silk liner in place. Stitched in red is the name of the original owner “Rüll”. Underneath the silk liner we see all of the original hardware.

This helmet comes with the transport case and at the top we see a faded label which is attributed to the same man!

This is a unique opportunity to acquire an identified helmet with its matching and also identified transport case.

The exterior of the helmet is worthy of mention again for its superior condition.
