GERMANY – FLIGHT BADGE – MODELERS AVIATION
Many years ago when I first began to collect flight badges I could find little about it and mistakenly identified it as a pre war aviation flight badge.
It was in fact for modelers, who had an interest in aviation.
The badge has wide spread wings with a propeller emblematic of the Fliegertruppen. In the center is a radial engine. This is enclosed in a wreath of oak and laurel leaves similar to true flight badges. Atop the wreath we see a Hohenzollern crown.
This is a cast badge and on the reverse with a solid pin and clasp.
These are uncommon but as they are not military badges not terribly expensive.
