GERMANY – SANKE CARD – DIREKTOR FOKKER – NR 410
This is Sanke card Nr 410 of Tony Fokker. Fokker was the head of the Fokker aircraft firm which produced many of the famous airplanes of WW I including the scourge of the skies the Fokker Eindecker, Fokker Dr.1 (Triplane) that Manfred von Richthofen made famous, the Fokker D. VII, and the Fokker D. VIII. The D. VII was arguably the best fighter plane of WW I and was specifically banned by the Versailles Treaty.
He is seated wearing a suit and facing the camera. The card was never mailed. There is a slight bend to the upper left corner that is not detractive to the overall presentation.
