Germany – Sword – NCO
This is a fine example of an NCO sword. It is rather generic and it is not possible to identify what branch of the army it comes from or for that matter what state it came from. This sword would date from the period of 1900-1914.
The overall length of the sword is 40 7/8″. It has a “P” guard And is wire wrapped about 2/3’s of the length of the grip. It does not appear to be missing the wire wrap but rather is the design.
The blade measures 33 5/8″. It is a plain blade and very bright in finish. And has a single fuller. It comes from the well known manufacturer “Puma” in Solingen. The scabbard is painted black.
A very nice example of an NCO sword reasonably priced.
