When I first came across these I thought they were paper napkins. Having said that, it made no sense. Napkins during the Imperial Period were always made of linen! Then I looked closer and saw that they were not made of ordinary paper but crepe paper, instead. We have two of them, featuring a design with the Hohenzollern Eagle and the German National flag (in color). They measure 7 3/4″ x 7 3/8.” Let your imagination run wild on how you want to use these in your collection.

This is an interestingzeppelin-related footlocker. The foot locker is quite stout and well made. Its overall exterior dimensions are 32″ x 17″ x 18.” The foot locker is not square. Instead, it sports an arched top. Two leather straps appear on the side. In addition, it has decorative bars that measure 18 ½” x 2.”…
This is an interestingzeppelin-related footlocker. The foot locker is quite stout and well made. Its overall exterior dimensions are 32″ x 17″ x 18.” The foot locker is not square. Instead, it sports an arched top. Two leather straps appear on the side. In addition, it has decorative bars that measure 18 ½” x 2.” Four decorative buttons appear on each bar. Three are on the top, two are on each side, and on the back. One lock is present in the center that was secured by a key, which is NOT present. Flanking it are two more locks that have NOT ever had keys. They are only manually locked down to help secure the locker’s top.
The locker’s top sports a zeppelin’s profile, measuring 7″ x 1,” etched into its surface. Upon opening the locker, we reveal a total of thirteen original photographs & postcards inside its lid. These tie-in quite well with the zeppelinmotif. A removable partition/tray that measures 30 ½ x 16″ also is revealed when the locker is opened. The pullout tray features six dividers on both the top and bottom. Each of the six divided trays measures 11 3/4″ x 4 ½.” If you imagine a letter divider’s appearance, this is quite similar, although on a larger scale. The tray can be removed. An identical tray is at the bottom. I do not understand why the upper tray is double-sided.

This is a small hand painted patriotic porcelain figurine that celebrated the second year of WW I. This figurine stands 2 3/4″ tall and is 2 ½’ wide. It consists of two columns with eagles mounted on them. Between the two columns is a wreath with an Iron Cross in the center. This entire arrangement is mounted on a base that bears the date of 1915. The reverse of this base has the number 7925. The basic color of this small figurine is white. There are gold highlights on the columns. The eagles are mostly gold. The wreath is both gold and white. The Iron Cross is black. There is a ribbon looped from it to the wreath above. This is all hand painted. The figurine has no chipping or cracks to it.
