SKU: 12-802

$195.00

This is a top-quality metal presentation frame and photograph of a young Bavarian NCO. The frame has many patriotic themes. At the very top is a large Wittelsbach Crown (Bavaria’s ruling family). Bavarian flags sporting crowned blue and white insignia appear below it on both the left and right sides, with laurel leaves winding down from them. A black pickelhaube, a pair of crossed rifles (one of which is missing part of its stock), and a soldier’s backpack appear below the photograph. The frame measures 6 ½” x 8.” An easel on the reverse allows the frame to stand on a flat surface. The photograph slips into a small metal receptacle on the reverse. The photo easily can be removed, as the new owner sees fit. The frame shows honest wear. It is a touching memento of the period.
