This postcard comes from a color painting of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The painting is dated 31 July 1914, just days before the declaration of war. Kaiser Wilhelm II is wearing the overcoat of a Generalfeldmarschall and the spike helmet without the parade Eagle of the Garde du Corps.

The postcard is in excellent and was mailed in June 1915. There is a message on the reverse in pencil.
