This is a rather odd soldbuch. This man entered the army in 1916. He was assigned to an Ersatz artillery unit. It actually seems that he may have been assigned to a Flak unit, although I cannot see that he was assigned to an air unit. This would make for an interesting little research project.

This is a double militärpaß (i.e., a militärpaß that has been completely filled out, then replaced by a later militärpaß) along with a Soldbuch to a soldier named Dose, who was born 1889. He served in the 4th Kompagnie of Armierungs Bataillon Nr 79. While I see many entries for 1915, 1916, and 1917, I do not see later entries.

This Soldbuch and militärpaß belonged to the same soldier. His last name is Wossner. As we look through his militärpaß, we see that he was born in 1896 and that he was a native of Württemberg. We can tell that he passed through the 3rd Recruit Depot with Infantry Regiment Nr 125 in October 1915. He was immediately reassigned to Flieger-Ersatz-Abteilung Nr 10 near Stuttgart. Entries continue from his November reassignment through December 1916 with him attached to Flugpark 5 (a training depot and point of distribution of aviation personnel to front line squadrons.). We then see notations for Flieger-Abteilung (A) Nr 211 which is dated 21 November 1918 so he obviously survived the war. There are also unit stampings for FA 201 and 210 from the period of 1917-1918. In his Soldbuch we see entries for FA 202, 207, and210 along with his service in these units. A well traveled ground crewman by any means. It is unusual to be able to offer both the militärpaß and the Soldbuch together.

He joined the army in 1917 and was initially assigned to a Bavarian Luftschiffer Ersatz Abteilung. The militärpaß has a flip down page where you can see his complete service for nearly two years of WW I. In addition to numerous unit stamps from his initial unit, a stamp for his assignment to Feldluftschiffer-Abteilung Nr 1 is also present. A unit stamp for a Prussian Luftschiffer-Abteilung also appears, which I find particularly interesting. The militärpaß comes in a protective jacket. It has a wealth of material to research and dig into.
