Walter Höhndorff (1892-1917) was a PLM winning pilot who was involved in pre WW I aviation in Germany. He served in Jastas 1, 4, and 14. He achieved twelve air victories and was awarded the PLM. He was killed in September 1917 while testing a new airplane. In this pose he is standing and wearing his visor cap. His 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class and PLM are clearly seen. He is not wearing a pilot badge. This postcard was not mailed.
