Shoulder boards for Air Service units are scarce and we generally see Prussian examples which makes these shoulder boards such a great find. Shoulder boards from other Kingdoms are far more difficult to find.
These Saxon pair of shoulder boards which are M-1915 (Feldgrau) for a Leutnant from the Kingdom of Saxony.
- They have the green and white chevrons on the obverse which is indicative of Saxony.
- Each have the winged propeller of the Air Service.
- They are of the sewn in variety and are MINT as they have never been mounted on a tunic.
- They have white felt backing.
These are exactly what Max Immelmann a native son of Saxony would have worn.
These are quite exciting for us as we have never seen another pair.
