WÜRTTEMBERG – SHOULDER BOARDS – HAUPTMANN – INFANTERIE – REGIMENT NR 120
This is a fine pair of shoulder boards for a Hauptmann assigned to Infanterie-Regiment Kaiser Wilhelm, König von Preußen (2. Württembergisches) Nr 120. This elite regiment was formed in 1673. The regiment was garrisoned at Ulm. The regiment was assigned to the Württemberg XIII. Armeekorps.
The obverse of the shoulder boards has the junior officer pattern. The regimental crowned royal cypher is seen on each shoulder board in gold. Also seen are the twin pips of a Hauptmann. On the reverse we see a red felt backing. There are also the tabs to slip the shoulder boards onto a tunic.
