This is a fine pair of shoulder boards for a Major assigned to Füsilier-Regiment Kaiser Franz Joseph von Österreich, König von Ungaren (4. Württembergisches) Nr 122. This elite regiment was formed in 1806 during the Napoleonic wars. Two of its battalions Nr I and Nr 3 were stationed at Heilbronn. The third battalion Nr 2 was based at Mergentheim. The regiment was assigned to the Württemberg XIII. Armeekorps.
The shoulder boards feature brass regimental numbers “122″ placed upon a double braided silver bullion with the red and black chevrons for Wurttemberg. The shoulder boards have an off white velvet backing and are the slip on style.
