LZ 126 which was handed over to the U.S. Navy as part of war reparations that Germany was required to make after WW I. The LZ 126 was then re-christened the U.S.S. Los Angeles. The Graf Zeppelin, LZ 127 followed the Los Angeles and was designed as a civil passenger and freight carrying aircraft.
