This miniature stickpin presents a compact trio of Imperial and interwar veteran decorations rendered in a jeweler-made format for private wear on civilian attire. The pin displays, from left to right, a finely outlined Iron Cross 2nd Class motif, a 1914–1918 Honor Cross with its characteristic sunburst arms and central date ring, and a miniature Wound Badge in black rendered with a Stahlhelm set against an oak-leaf wreath. The three devices are affixed to a shared backing plate, mounted to a tapered, unfluted steel pin typical of Weimar-period veteran jewelry. Each element shows relief detail that is consistent with better-quality private-purchase miniatures, including the crisp beading of the Iron Cross border, the raised numerals in the Honor Cross center, and the recognizable helmet and oak spray of the Wound Badge.
These small stickpins were widely worn by former soldiers in the 1920s–1930s as discreet lapel insignia enabling display of multiple awards without donning the full ribbon bar. They were commercially sold through jewelers, veterans' associations, and outfitting firms, and remain a well-defined subcategory of German phaleristic miniatures. Trio combinations are less common than single-badge stickpins, especially when combining awards from separate issuances (Imperial combat decoration, state-issued service cross, and a federal Weimar veteran badge). The piece measures in the expected range for these pre-1945 miniatures and represents a complete set of wartime-service identifiers for a front-line soldier who served from 1914, survived wounds, and later qualified for the Hindenburg Cross as a combatant.
Condition is very good for its age. The obverse shows attractive, lightly aged patina with intact details in all three motifs. The reverse plate is unmarked, as expected for many jeweler-made examples. The pin shaft shows even toning and remains straight with a sharp point. No bends, repairs, or cracks are visible. This is an appealing multi-award miniature suitable for collectors of Imperial and Weimar veteran insignia, or as an addition to a display documenting the evolution of German personal decorations from 1914 into the interwar years.
