This postcard depicts the Marmorpalais (Marble Palace) in Potsdam, a remarkable neoclassical palace situated near Berlin, Germany. The front shows a detailed black-and-white image of the palace as viewed from the water, framed by lush vegetation. It provides a glimpse of early 20th-century architectural and cultural significance, capturing a tranquil moment of the German imperial era.

  • Reverse: Includes handwritten correspondence dated 4th December 1914, sent from Potsdam. The handwriting and ink show excellent preservation, further enhancing the postcard's historical appeal. The reverse also bears printed information by Max O. Co., Berlin, a known publisher during the period.

The Marmorpalais was commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia in the late 18th century and served as a summer residence.
