A small rectangular souvenir glass tray depicting Sagamore Hill, Theodore Roosevelt’s home at Oyster Bay, New York. The central monochrome view is captioned “HOME OF "TEDDY" ROOSEVELT” and “Oyster Bay, N. Y.” The tray measures approximately 4½ inches long by 3½ inches wide. Its manufacturer, country of manufacture, and exact production date have not been established.

The shallow glass body has rounded corners, gently raised sides, and a clear outer edge. Two narrow dark border lines follow the rectangular outline around a pale ground. At the center, a printed photographic view shows the house, its broad veranda, surrounding lawn, and mature trees. The illustration has a rounded rectangular outline, with the caption placed beneath it. The decoration appears to be applied beneath the glass, with the scene and lettering readable in reverse through the underside.

Sagamore Hill was Theodore Roosevelt’s home from 1885 until his death in 1919. During his presidency, the house served as the Summer White House, joining a family residence with the public business of the nation’s chief executive. Its prominent porch and wooded setting became familiar features in views of the property. The scene on this tray presents that domestic setting rather than a presidential portrait or campaign emblem.

The inscription uses Roosevelt’s widely recognized nickname, “Teddy,” and identifies Oyster Bay as the location. This is a commemorative souvenir depicting his home; it is not represented as an object used by Roosevelt or as part of an official presidential service. The historic subject does not independently establish a production date during his lifetime, and later souvenir manufacture remains possible. No readable maker’s mark, dedication, or owner’s inscription is observed, and no individual ownership history has been established.

Condition shows surface wear, fine scratches, and localized rubbing and irregularity along the outer edge and border decoration. Small scattered marks are present within the pale ground and printed scene. The central architectural view and its identifying caption remain legible. The clear rim retains the shallow tray’s outline, with localized edge roughness that should be considered when assessing condition.

A compact display piece for collectors of Theodore Roosevelt memorabilia, presidential homes, Long Island souvenirs, and decorated glass. Its interest lies in the named architectural view of Sagamore Hill and the use of a familiar presidential nickname on an everyday commemorative object.
